The Foley boys JV Soccer Team played Murphy tonight: coming out of the gate they were slow but quickly established a sense of rhythm; when Team Captain Rylan Harrison set up His counter Team Captain Ramiro Figueroa, deep from the midfield as Figueroa brought the ball into the net for his first score of the game.

Daniel Bridges came into the game along with Collin Stugart, as Stugart set up Bridges for his first goal as a JV player.

Wilson Funez flipped from the forward to the right wing and was set up by Ryan McDuffie on a long cross, as Funez punches the ball deep into the net.

Felipe Gonzales came into the game and quickly went to work taking three shots on goal, but ultimately giving an assist to Bridges setting him up for his second goal of the night.

Figueroa miraculously pulled the ball down to his feet off of a rebound and sent a ball screaming into the net, for his second goal of the night

The keeper spot was shared tonight with Jr. going to work, first making a stellar save on a PK kick – that was a justifiable call – that looked MLS worthy. He saved one more gobbling the ball up, before coming off the field to allow David Sanchez to get on the pitch for his first time at the JV level. Sanchez also saved one ball, as both goalies shared a clean sheet.

This team plays well together, they push the envelope setting the bar high wanting to maximize everyone’s full potential. Great sense of Balance Team!
