Foley High School offers sports medicine classes to any high school student interested in becoming a part of Foley’s Athletic Training Program. These individuals go through a process in order to demonstrate an interest for the program and to provide the necessary requirements to prove they should be a part of the team. Not only do they get to engage in athletic training classes but they also get the opportunity to be a part of a team that assists with Foley High School athletics.

In order to become a Certified Athletic Trainer, an individual must earn a degree from an accredited athletic training program. Recently the program has evolved to become an entry-level masters program. Accredited programs include formal instruction in areas such as:
- Human Anatomy and Physiology
- Therapeutic Modalities
