Foley won in dramatic fashion thanks to a walk-off single to end of the game. McGill jumped out to an early 1-0 lead during the first inning. After McGill scored four runs in the top of the second, Foley answered with four of their own. Maddie Maurin and Ella Cleverdon both singled to get things going for Foley in the bottom of the second. Autumn Edmonds was then able to score Maurin, Cleverdon, and herself on a hard hit ball to centerfield. Foley added another run in the bottom of the second when Analeese Moore doubled, scoring Sarah Foster who was in as a courtesy runner for pitcher Abbie Bosch. McGill added another run in the top of the fourth. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Foley tied things up at six when Hannah Daniel doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Moore led off for Foley in the bottom of the seventh with a walk. Haylee Clausell then singled on a bunt. After steals by Moore and Clausell, Maurin stepped up to the plate with runners on 2nd and 3rd and 2 outs. She singled on a ground ball to centerfield scoring Moore. Bosch led Foley to victory in the pitcher’s circle. She surrendered six runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out ten and walking one. Foley finished with seven hits on the day. Maurin and Cleverdon each collected two hits to lead Foley.
