Game Recap

The JV capped off a great season with a big win over the Baker Hornets. The JV finished their season with an impressive 10-0-3 record and the number 1 team in the annual Buccaneer Bash in Fairhope. It is hard to tell why they were so successful because they were so good from front to back and on the sideline with Coach Thompson and Coach Rippy. Ben Cleverdon lead the Lions this year in scoring with 23 goals. Other consistent scorers were Edlen Meza, Javier Reyes, Jaime Villa, and Josh Biggs. When you talk about who scored for Foley’s JV this year, it isn’t easy because with so many goals your sure to miss one. As well as they played in the middle and in the back, the large number of goals may not have been needed. The back, lead by Jorge Mercado and Jose Silva was extremely solid, with fantastic mid-field play by Jaime Villa, Javier Reyes, Rudy Morales, and Cole Hickman. Way to go JV Lions! Coach Thompson and Coach Rippy did an outstanding job with the JV Boys of Spring in 2017.
